What we collect, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.
You can put a dispute into DenningAI before you have an account, which means we start handling your information before you have told us who you are. This page explains what happens to it.
Who is responsible
Denning Technologies Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company number 16646089) is the data controller. Registered office: 3f Morpeth Terrace, London, England, SW1P 1EW.

What we collect
- Your account of the dispute. Whatever you type or say, in your own words. This is usually the most sensitive thing on the site, because people describe dismissals, health, money and relationships in it.
- Audio, if you talk instead of typing. The recording is sent away to be turned into text.
- Documents you upload. Contracts, letters, payslips and similar, along with the text and dates read out of them.
- Your answers to the structured questions, and the estimates calculated from them.
- Account details once you create one: name and email address.
Before you have an account
You can build a complete case as a stranger. When you do, it is stored against an anonymous identifier in a cookie on your device, not against you. If you later create an account, that case is attached to it. If you never do, the case stays anonymous and is not linked to a person by us.
An edit you have made but not yet saved is also kept on your device, so closing the tab does not lose it. It is removed as soon as the save is confirmed, and the next time you open a deleted case it is cleared from the device with it. It expires on its own after 24 hours, or after 30 minutes if you have not created a case yet.
Who processes it, and where
We use the services below. This is a breakdown rather than a single claim about residency, because the honest answer differs by service.

Some of these are outside the UK and the EEA. Where that is the case, the transfer relies on the safeguards in the provider’s own terms.
Training
We do not use what you enter to train our own models, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising. What the providers above may do with content sent to them is governed by their own terms, which we choose against but do not control.
What a lawyer can see
Nothing, unless you switch it on. Putting your case in front of lawyers is a deliberate choice you make and can withdraw at any time. While they are only browsing, what leaves is the structured picture (the dispute type, the figures, the timeline) and never the free text you wrote. That is enforced in the product, not just promised here.
Accepting an offer is the point that changes. It releases your email address, and it lets that firm see arguments drafted from what you wrote about the dispute, so their substance is your own account of it. Ending the conversation takes that access away again.
Deleting it
You can delete your case from the product at any time, which removes it and its documents from our database and storage. Text already sent to the services above for transcription or reading is subject to their retention, not ours.

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to or restrict how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
